quattro tavoli – schlachthofviertel

I’m lucky to live in an area surrounded by a mix of restaurants, most of them serving very good-quality fresh food. One of the newest in the area is Dreimühlenstr.’s Quattro Tavoli, a cosy Italian with high-quality, fresh ingredients. The staff are friendly and relaxed, and the chairs on the ceiling and artwork displayed by local artists adds a quirky, fun feel. It’s the sort of place that the area had lacked, and I’m overjoyed that business seems to be booming.

The menu is limited, but wonderful. They have lasagne on offer most days, which costs just under 8 € (with a side salad). In addition to the daily specials, you can try a ham platter on offer to start and there are good-quality cheeses to round up your meal.

The staff know their stuff when it comes to wine – they import from Italy and can recommend which best fits in with your meal. And the coffee is heavenly!

If you fancy heading there at the weekend, do call to reserve (089-74 11 8157) – the restaurant is little bigger than a lounge, there aren’t so many seats free on a Friday and Saturday night!
